We promote art and culture tourism through the appreciation of fine arts, theatrical plays, traditional performing arts, concerts, architecture, and more.

Digital Transformation (DX) in Tourism

We are developing a tourism app that will provide both domestic and international travelers with exciting Osaka information using extended reality (XR) and other technologies.

Domestic Travel Promotion

With the aim of recovering Osaka's and Japan's economies, we strive to spread vitality and enthusiasm to the rest of Japan under the "Nippon Genki! Osaka Genki!" slogan.

Educational Travel

We aim to provide education programs that further improve school trips to Osaka, contribute to revitalizing shopping streets and rural areas, and foster international exchange.

Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan

We work with the organizers of Expo 2025 in promoting the event to not only make the Expo a success, but to also use the event as a chance to accelerate our aspirations for Osaka.

Festival of the Lights in Osaka

Alongside other key authorities in Osaka, we annually run and promote the city's iconic illuminations.

Film Commission

In order to maximize Osaka's branding in the entertainment industry, the Osaka Film Council offers service and support for filmmaking in Osaka's many ideal locations for the production of movies, TV dramas, and commercial films.

Gastronomy

Food culture is one of Osaka's defining features. We collaborate with food-related service providers to create culinary experience programs, excursion tours, and more.

Greenery and the Environment

To maximize our role in urban greening and as the site for Expo 2025, we promote the increase of greenery infrastructure across Osaka, including wall-surface coverage, plant visibility across the city, and the usage of lumber in buildings.

Inbound Promotion

Osaka aims to become a world-class and Asia's number one international tourism and culture city, and use our resources to promote to travel markets worldwide.

International Student Support

We launched the Osaka Global Student Support Association alongside other Osaka authorities to support international students and make Osaka an ideal destination to live, learn, and work.

LGBTQ Tourism

To make Osaka a more welcoming destiantion for LGBTQ+ travelers, we conduct training and seminars for travel service providers, operate FAM trips, and promote Osaka's friendliness worldwide.

Luxury

With Expo 2025 and the potential integrated resort (IR) on the way, we are expanding our target travel markets by developing luxury experiences in a wide range of fields.

MICE

We aim for Osaka to become Asia's premier meetings and events destination, and provide support for organizers and planners.

Nightlife Promotion

We develop and expand upon the nightlife content that is unique to Osaka and increases spending during the late night hours.

Osaka Sightseeing Passes

To aid travelers and further promote Osaka, we have developed the Osaka Amazing Pass and Osaka e-Pass, with discounted or free entry to attractions across the region as well as free access to public transportation on certain passes.

Sports Tourism

Osaka aims to become a world-class sports and entertainment city, and to that end we collaborate with professional sports teams and manufacturers.

Tourism Database Development

We have built and operate a data management platform to centralize and visualize tourism-related data, and use this to educate municipalities across Osaka.

In anticipation of the upcoming Expo 2025 and potential integrated resort, we work to make Osaka a more convenient destination.

With our official tourism websites and social media accounts in multiple languages, we promote Osaka to the world.

Workations have appeared in recent years as a new trend in travel. We provide information on the best ways to enjoy both urban and rural destinations across Osaka Prefecture while maintaining a positive work-life balance
