Born in Izumi City, Osaka Prefecture, Kyoguchi started boxing when he was 12 years old and became a professional boxer at the age of 22 when he joined the Watanabe Boxing promotion company.
After becoming a professional boxer in 2016, Kyoguchi claimed victory at his debut fight at the Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium. In 2017, he won the International Boxing Federation (IBF) Minimumweight Championship, and in 2018 won the World Boxing Association (WBA) Light Flyweight Championship, successfully claiming victory in two different classes. Kyoguchi has since earned the title of WBA Super Champion and The Ring Junior Flyweight Championship.
In October 2019, he successfully defended his WBA Light Flyweight Championship title for the second time since June 2019.
