Digital Transformation (DX) in Tourism
The Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau is currently developing a tourism app that will provide both domestic and international travelers with engaging Osaka information. Using extended reality (XR) and other technologies, the app will help ensure a stress-free and exciting visit to Osaka.
Osaka Free Wi-Fi
The local government free Wi-Fi in Japan.
As part of efforts to improve the environment for welcoming foreign tourists to Japan, aiming to improve convenience, we will focus on improving the communications environment in preparation for the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan and IR.
Open Roaming, a free Wi-Fi service that can be used overseas, started in October 2024.
Osaka eSIM covers a wide area and can be used easily even while on the move.
By using Wi-Fi spots that are "free for anyone to use at any time" and eSIMs that are "easy to use anywhere, whenever you need them" in a complementary manner, we provide a more comfortable communication environment.
