Accessible Tourism
The Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau strives to make Osaka a stress-free and enjoyable destination for all travelers regardless of age or disability, and aims to spread awareness on the field of accessible tourism and to improve the local environment for such travelers.
In January 2022, Osaka Prefecture, the City of Osaka, the Kinki District Transport Bureau, and local transportation-related service providers launched the Accessible Tourism Promotion Committee. Upon conducting on-site research, the Committee plans to release three model travel itineraries by April 2023 that accomodate travelers with mobility difficulties.
